First Snow

Dust of Snow
by Robert Frost (1923)

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

  1. Great pictures. My dad always called these first snows and the last snows of March 'loblolly snows' because they were wet snows. Also, I love Robert Frost. I think he's one of the best poets ever. Thanks for including him.

  2. I love Robert Frost and we only escaped having the same quote on the same day by the fact that Heraldo was doing Haiku's and I couldn't resist. Otherwise, I would have used the same poem. I love it.

So many times some beautiful aspect of nature has saved an otherwise rotten day.

  3. Wow great pictures!! I love the cow/bull one! Very cool!! It looks like you guys got a lot of snow!!

  4. Who is the photographer??? I am blown away by the beauty.

  5. Beautiful pictures, beautiful poem. I can't wait to play in some snow!

We love to hear what you have to say. Keep your comments coming! Thanks.
