Mystery Sound Revealed


Lodgepole guessed correctly. This sound is made by quail apparently to call the covey together because shortly after I stopped recording a whole bunch of them flew in and then the whole group flew off.

    Aww man, I totally thought it was hummingbirds! We don't get enough quail down here anymore to remember what they sound like.

    Wow, your quail sound a lot different than our quail. Our's are much noisier.
